Welcome to the site that is going to be the home page for my bead projects. My favorite projects are beaded bottles (and other objects) and wrap-around bracelets. As I build up the site, I'll be posting more of these on different pages. For now, here's a sample of some of the projects I've finished. The site is still under construction as of October 2009, but I wanted to get it started to show you some samples of the work I'm doing in the bead world. My interest in beads goes back into the early 90's when I made a few simple strings of prayer beads. I'd been exposed to rosaries as a child growing up Catholic, but as I studied various religions during my college years, I became aware that beads of some sort are ubiquitous to both prayer traditions and cultures in general. When I found beads showing up on dresses in China, headsets in Africa, and even vests in Italy, I dropped my concern about "ripping off Native cultures" and started in on designing my own projects.
